The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, a leader of luxury hospitality, has curated thoughtful Ecology Field Trips, designed to connect and educate curious guests on the local area and wildlife. Part exploration, part discovery and personally designed for every age, on these outdoor adventures guests discover the many unique ecosystems of a barrier island.
The purpose of the arboretum accreditation is to further enhance the current Nature Excursion activities to include on-property tree walks steps away from the front entrance. Recently landscaped and with a new management plan, guests will discover a rich array of trees and woody species. Guests will be able to arrange a private tour led by the resort’s on-site expert naturalist, utilize an iNaturalist online project map, or reference a QR code by scanning species signs along a manicured walkway.
The mission of arboretum accreditation is to raise awareness and educate all occupants (including employees, guests, and residents) regarding the importance of biodiversity and preserving species habitat. The trees and woody species of the arboretum are accessible by the public and guests along the front walkway of the property. Our goal is to highlight the importance of biodiversity and preserving species habitat.
