Ulmus parvifolia (Chinese Elm)
Ulmus parvifolia (Chinese Elm)

The Chinese Elm contrasts with its patterned, mottled bark and small, simple leaves. It’s highly resistant to diseases commonly affecting other elms, making it a sturdy and long-lasting choice for various landscapes.

As a small to medium deciduous or semi-deciduous tree, the Chinese Elm can reach heights of up to 59 ft. Its slender trunk and crown, along with its leathery, lustrous green, single-toothed leaves, give it a unique and striking appearance. The fruit, a samara, is elliptic to ovate-elliptical, mostly glabrous, and matures by late autumn.
