Smilax auriculata is a North American plant species native to the Bahamas, the Turks & Caicos Islands, and the southeastern United States. Common names include earleaf greenbrier and wild-bamboo, although it is not closely related to bamboo. It grows on coastal dunes, in sun-lit locations, and in sandy woodlands at elevations less than 100 m.

Earleaf greenbrier is a perennial vine that produces underground rhizomes and sometimes tubers. This climber has zigzag branching and sometimes reaches a height of 30 feet. The leaves are evergreen, narrowly ovate, not waxy, and up to 3 1/2 inches long. The flowers are green, in umbels of 3 – 8 flowers. Berries are dark purple, almost black.
