Richardia scabra (Florida Pusley)
Richardia scabra (Florida Pusley)

Richardia scabra—commonly known as Florida pusley—often plays the role of an opportunistic colonizer, quickly occupying disturbed soils where it can prevent erosion. Although not a native species, its prolific flowering can provide nectar for various small, local pollinators.

It is a species of flowering plant in the family Rubiaceae. It is widespread and native to warm areas of North America, South America, and East African countries, like Central Kenya. In the southeastern United States, it is often found in disturbed habitats.
