Cephalotaxus harringtonii, commonly known as the Korean plum-yew, Japanese plum-yew, Harrington’s cephalotaxus or cowtail pine, a species of coniferous shrub of small tree in the family Taxaceae.

It is native to Japan but is occasionally utilized in Western gardens. New shoots of C. harringtonii remain green for three years after forming and have ribs at the leaf bases. The buds are green in color, globular in shape, and very small, only 1 mm in length.

‘Fastigiata’ was selected in 1861 in Japan. It grows to 6 metres in height and is characterized by its broad cluster of stems and very dark green leaves that spread all around the stem and are strongly decurved.
