Bidens alba, commonly known as White Beggarticks, belongs to the family Asteraceae. It is native to Central and South America and naturalized in North Florida. Beggarticks are appreciated by pollinators for their delicate white flowers (in fact, Beggarticks are one of the top sources of nectar for honey production in Florida!).

They are also known for their edible flowers and young leaves, which are often used in tea. This hardy plant can flower year-round, with peak blooms in February and May. It is a vascular plant, which is similar to a root and stem system that grows vertically in the ground. It can grow up to five feet.
