Oversight of the Arboretum is provided by the AIPCA Environmental Resource Manager and dedicated AIPCA staff, under the guidance of the AIPCA Board. This work is carried out in collaboration with the Keep Nassau Beautiful Arboretum Accreditation Committee and the Gardens of Amelia Science Advisory Team. Together, this team supports plant stewardship, community engagement, and educational programming to ensure the Arboretum remains a thriving and evolving resource for both residents and visitors.

In December 2020, Amelia Island Plantation became the 12th community worldwide to earn designation as an Audubon International Certified Sustainable Community. Achieving ArbNet Level I Accreditation further underscores AIPCA’s commitment to the protection and conservation of its horticultural collections. This recognition highlights the community’s dedication to preserving the maritime forest’s old-growth canopy for future generations and honors the ongoing effort required to care for this exceptional landscape.
