Phyla nodiflora, commonly known as the Turkey Tangle Frogfruit, is a flowering plant in the Verbenaceae family. The inflorescence consists of a purple center encircled by small white-to-pink flowers. The flower looks match-like, which is why the plant is sometimes called matchweed.

Turkey Tangle Frogfruit is an excellent groundcover that can tolerate drought and flooding. It is found worldwide and has a plethora of historical medicinal uses. It is also a source of nectar and a larval host for a wide range of Florida butterflies.

It is similar to related species like Phyla lanceolate but differs in having much shorter leaves that are often blunt and much more rounded. Both species are common as weeds and as ornamentals.
