Heptapleurum arboricola commonly known as the Miniature umbrella tree which is a flowering plant in the family Araliaceae. It is native to Hainan Province, China and Taiwan. It is an evergreen shrub that grows up tp 9 meters tall, free standing or clinging to the trunks of other trees as an epiphyte.

The leaves are palmately compound with 7-9 leaflets with a wedge shaped base, entire margin and an obtuse or acute apex sometimes emarginate. The leaves are leathery in texture, shiny green, glabrous on the upper surface and somewhat lighter and matte on the underside.

Though small in stature, the Miniature Umbrella Tree offers a lush, tropical aesthetic perfect for indoor spaces. Its leaves resemble tiny umbrellas, providing visual interest, and it’s well-suited for rooms with lower light conditions.
