The Tree Crinum, also known as Giant Crinum or poison bulb, is admired for its large bulb that produces impressive white flowers with purple-tinged stamens​​. It is one of the largest in the Crinum genus, with evergreen leaves that may grow up to three feet long. However, all parts of the plant are poisonous if ingested. Some reports indicate exposure to the sap may cause skin irritations.

It is native to East Asia, tropical Asia, and islands of the Pacific and western Indian oceans. It has naturalized in Mexico, the West Indies, and the United States, such as Florida and Louisiana. It’s a perennial herb that typically grows up to 4 feet tall.
